About Lucas

Welcome (Bienvenidos) to my blog! My name is Lucas Watson and I am a senior this year at William Woods University. I am a Biology major (concentration in pre medicine) with a minor in Chemistry, Physical Science, and Spanish. I am currently applying, and plan to attend medical school next fall! I am a member of the social fraternity Pi Kappa Alpha and involved in several campus organizations: President’s Twenty- Chair, Biology Club, Pre Med Club, Student Financial committee, Freshman Advantage Peer Mentor, Alpha Chi Honor Society, Omicron Delta Kappa, Order of Omega, and Beta Beta Beta Biological Honor Society- President to name a few :).

William Woods University a place a call home! I enjoy the small campus, one-on-one professor attention, and most of all, knowing EVERYONE on campus. I chose William Woods University because of its environment and the friendly and small atmosphere of the campus. I wanted my professors to know me personally. I felt William Woods was a place I could get a quality education and get prepared for my desired future in medicine. I also chose William Woods because of the very competitive scholarship I was offered. I am more than pleased to have selected William Woods.

At this moment in time I am studying abroad in Guayaquil, Ecuador, South America. I am studying Spanish here and I have an internship at the local public hospital here: Hospital Luis Vernaza where I am working in the Surgery Department. I invite you to join me on my journey through this amazing country located at the middle of the world. I will post pictures, stories, and videos of my amazing journey as it continues to develop. If you have any questions feel free to email me at, I would be glad to help.
