About Alaina

Alaina and Brandy

Brandy Reagan and I got all dressed up for Alpha Chi Omega dance themed “Dream Night.” We dressed up all glamorous and the seniors surprised everyone by wearing pajamas to the dance. I wore one of my favorite dresses that night and was really proud of my hair and makeup.

I, Alaina Leverenz, am a senior communications and graphic design major from Centralia, Mo. I have a passion for education and involvement. I am finishing my undergraduate career a year early to go on and complete a master’s degree in communications.

I get involved in all that I can at William Woods. The accomplishments that I am most proud of are becoming the editor-in-chief of the campus magazine, The Hoot, president of the National Society of Leadership and Success, Panhellenic Vice President of Recruitment and Marketing, a University Ambassador and a member of Alpha Chi Omega. I also do many other things on campus whether it is more clubs or my wonderful work-study position in University Marketing and Relations.

Lanterns

I lit a paper lantern with many Alpha Chi Omega and Fiji members in honor of domestic violence awareness month. Every year we light the paper lanterns, some years we decorate them before we let them into the night sky.

I have a drive to succeed and the organization skills to keep my whole world in order. I couldn’t imagine my college career without all of the campus organizations and extracurricular activities. I have made so many connections, not only on campus but off campus as well, that have sculpted me into the confident individual that I am today.

It is through leadership activities, classes and work experiences that have prepared myself for my graduate life ahead. Without William Woods, I do not think that I could have grown to be as confident and as happy as I am today.
