5 Fun Ideas for Friday Night Fun in Fulton

Back in November, Myriam suggested 10 ways to have fun in Fulton on the weekends. I’m adding on to this by suggesting five more ways to enjoy Fulton, MO. Whether you’re staying in or going out, there are plenty of fun (and cheap!) ways to spend Friday nights in Fulton. Below are my ideas for how to have a fun-filled Friday evening.

B&B Theaters in Fulton, MO.

  1. Go to the Movies

The movie theater is just five minutes from campus! I love going because it’s never too busy, and often times my friends and I end up with our own theater. You always get great seats and lots of yummy popcorn.

  1. Go Bowling

Just next to the movie theater is the bowling alley. Sometimes Campus Activities Board hosts a night of bowling, which is great because lots of students pack the building. Even though I'm terrible at bowling, it's always fun to play with friends and see who breaks 100.

  1. Play Pool in McNutt

There’s plenty of fun to be had on campus, too. McNutt has a pool table and a big screen TV. So, you can play a game or watch a movie. Plus, the Owl’s Nest is open till 10:00 p.m. on Fridays, so you can still grab a coffee or a snack.

Egg and potato baskets were one of our many culinary creations.

  1. Plan A Night in Your Dorm

If you want to really stay in, you can gather friends and hang in a dorm room. During my freshman year, we had tons of friends play a very intense game of Heads Up, where you give clues to a person holding a phone on their forehead displaying a noun. Other ideas include board games, movies, or honing your culinary skills. Cooking/baking may be limited to a microwave in some halls, but in Cutlip we have a full kitchen.

  1. Go to a LEAD Event

Finally, there are often LEAD events held on the weekends, too. These range from plays to improv shows to lectures and more. This past Friday, my friends and I attended a lecture by saddle seat instructor and trainer Smith Lilly.

Hope you have an awesome Friday night!
