Hi Guys and Gals!
I haven't posted for a while. So here is just a quick update on my life from the past few weeks!
Golf has been going great for us as a team. After we came back from our first event we traveled to Carbondale Illinois to play a NCAA Division 1 tournament. We played against all D1 teams and lost in a playoff to IUPUI. Pretty impressive for a small NAIA School!
For Spring Break we went to Orlando with the Men's golf team. This week was by far my best Spring Break tournament ever. We stayed at the Mission Inn Resort and played fabulous golf courses for the week we were there. We bonded as a team and of course made the most of our time in Florida. The Women's team won and it made our 20 hour bus ride a little easier. 😛
After Spring Break, I played my last ever home tournament. How SAD!! This was tearful and awesome because I got to play with my best friend on the second day who is also a fellow senior, Alejandra.
NOW we are back on campus. We don't play again until our conference which is in two weeks!
My Cap and gown have arrived, and my parents have booked their flights to see me graduate!
Exciting times are ahead and time is flying by too quick for my liking.
Oh, and did you know our team is number 1 nationally?
Enjoy your week!
Happy Halloween to everyone! I hope you all enjoyed your spooky, hilarious, and thrilling holiday festivities! All around Fulton, Missouri you could find jack-o-lanterns, togas, princesses, nerds, athletes, skeletons, and the occasional astronaut. We will never be too old to dress up and enjoy a night out with friends! Be it catching a movie with Student Alumni Council, the American Sign Language department, or the Jesters, to attending class in your costume, there is always a way for you to enjoy the Halloween festivities at William Woods!
Below are some pictures of my teammates and I dressed up on Halloween night, it was a great time with the best friends a guy could ask for!
So begins the fall season at William Woods. 75 degrees of sunshine accompanied by the autumn breeze await me as I walk down the stairs of my Stone Campbell on-campus apartment. The fall is my favorite season because it symbolizes a break from the heat of a Missouri summer and a welcome mood boost from Mother Nature herself.
The fall means spending time outdoors and enjoying the cordial music streaming out of the Greek Houses as I walk to class. Everyone at Woods is as happy as the sun is bright during this autumn season! You can find me out on the baseball field with my team or spending time with some of the best friends this world has to offer!
For me, autumn at William Woods means getting back into the swing of baseball with my teammates during our fall season. On the baseball team, we practice all week long and host few fall scrimmages in our short and sweet fall baseball season. Pairing up a sports season with an academic schedule is no easy task. However, the environment here at William Woods allows us to get our education while maintaining a high academic standard and playing the game that we love. Student-athlete truly is the best of both worlds! When I'm not on the field practicing, you can find me in the library sharpening my mind or at my residence in the Stone Campbell Apartment Complex getting some rest and recuperation. All in all, the fall puts a smile on my face. There is no place I would rather be than WWU!
